FES-CLIMAT — Mainstreaming climate change into development projects

Seven modules built on the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report: climate screening, impact chain construction, design adaptation, maladaptation testing, greenhouse gas accounting (boundaries and scopes, baseline scenarios, ESS 3 thresholds, shadow carbon price, the FAO EX-ACT tool), climate finance and reporting.

FES-GES — Environmental and social management

National law and funder standards, instruments and the assessment cycle, social risk and GBV/SEA-SH prevention, participation, grievances and accountability, contractor-level management plans and their contractual anchoring, supervision and non-conformities.

FES-PESTES — Pest and pesticide management

Crop protection, pest identification, fall armyworm, chemical, mechanical and biological control, toxicity and health risk, protective equipment, storage and disposal of packaging.

FES-PISTES — Environmental supervision of rural roads

Environmental and social supervision of rural road works: rights of way, borrow pits, crossing structures, site reinstatement and enforceable contract clauses.

Training 60 municipalities’ elected officials on climate risk and climate finance

180 participants across nine three-day departmental workshops in Ziguinchor, Sédhiou and Kolda: terms of reference, recruitment of the training consultant, quality control of modules, and a pre-test/post-test evaluation design.
